Zoom Small Group -- REGISTER HERE

What if knowing the answers to five simple questions could give a kid hope?

In a world where kids are known by a number on a jersey, digits on a car pool tag, and random usernames, we need more adults who will stop and take the time to know them personally. It's Personal is for volunteers and other leaders who work with children and teenagers. A practical guide for a personal (and more effective and fulfilling) approach to leading kids, It's Personal revisits the story of Zacchaeus and explores Jesus' simple model for how to be personal. Jesus' encounter with Zacchaeus shows us how to engage kids and teenagers personally to give them a renewed sense of identity, belonging, and purpose. Something remarkable can happen when you start seeing people the way Jesus sees them. Taking the time to answer the five questions in this book for a kid or teenager could radically change someone's faith, maybe even yours.

This small group will meet on Zoom on Mondays at 7:30pm from February 8th-March 1st.

Tough Stuff Parenting: Zoom Small Group
Are You Prepared to Talk with Your Child About...?

Discussing difficult topics with kids has never been easy, but in today's world, it's more difficult than ever. Racial inequality, terrorist attacks, pornography, police shootings, and yes, sex, are just some of the complex issues children will encounter in our current culture. When your child asks questions, will you have answers?

Tough Stuff Parenting will equip you to have thoughtful, age appropriate conversations with your child. The faith based wisdom and practical tools you'll learn about during this study will help you confidently engage your kid in meaningful dialogue. And when questions arise, your child will look to you first for answers instead of friends or the Internet.

This small group will meet on Zoom on Mondays at 7:30pm from March 1st-May 17th.

If you'd like to purchase the book (Tough Stuff Parenting: Helping Your Kids Navigate Faith and Culture), follow the link below.

Calling all Moms and Tween Daughters
Zoom Small Group
The "Tween" Years are a critical transition period of life of a young girl. Girls this age are changing in profound ways, and it can become harder to talk about the things that matter.

This 6 week faith based experience is designed for moms and daughters to help them connect and talk about topics that are critical to the preteen years: identity, body, emotions, friendships, technology, and faith.

All materials provided.

Starting Mid-February

Ash Wednesday @ Home Kit
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. It marks the beginning of a period of reflection and penance. In the Bible, sprinkling oneself with ashes was traditionally a sign of one's sorrow for having committed sins. In the Christian tradition, Ash Wednesday also marked the beginning of preparation for the understanding of the death and resurrection of Christ.

Due to COVID-19 we are not able to have our traditional Ash Wednesday service. The service will be live streamed on the church website and Facebook page. We invite you to receive an Ash Wednesday @ Home Kit. The kits contains devotional book for adults, Lenten calendar for adults, ash cloth for you to wear, and a Lenten Offering Box.

Our Lenten Offering this year will support the Arkansas Conference, 200,000 More Reasons. This program seeks to provide nutrition, literacy, and stability to children across the state.

Ash Wednesday @ Home kits may be picked up from the church Sunday, February 14 from 9:00-12:00. They may also be picked up February 15-17, 8:30-4:30 PM. If you are home bound or quarantined due to COVID, we will deliver your @ Home Kit to your front door.

FEBRUARY SUNDAY SCHOOL
ELEMENTARY THEME
God was kind to us even when we didn’t deserve it. Because of His love for us, we can be kind to everyone. Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit. And when you show kindness to others, you give them a glimpse into the heart of God, and how much God loves them. Kindness should be a characteristic of people who follow Jesus. Not only did Jesus model kindness, but He also commanded it. He taught us to treat others the way we want to be treated.
FEBRUARY SUNDAY SCHOOL
PRESCHOOL THEME
God made us for love—the greatest love. He made that clear when He sent His Son, Jesus, to show us how to give and receive His love.

When Jesus walked the Earth, He was God’s love in the flesh. Jesus showed us time and time again that He loves us. That’s why our focus this month is the powerful truth Jesus loves me. We were all made for His love! And that is why we chose The Big Sandbox for the theme. We want every child to know that Jesus is their friend and He is inviting them—all of them—to join Him, because He loves them. Everyone can play in The Big Sandbox!

In a world where people and circumstances can easily make a person feel unloved, it is our desperate prayer that we can equip our young ones with the powerful truth that Jesus loves me. We want our children to live life knowing and believing—never doubting—that they are loved by the greatest love, and nothing will ever change that. After all, this is what they were made for—they were made for His love.
As things develop, stay tuned to our SM channels, as we look to reinvent how we do ministry in these uncertain times:

We will be closely monitoring developments and will be making additional adjustments as advised or needed. Please be in prayer for our world and church community.

Message me, should you need anything.

The Parent Cue App cues you to have simple and meaningful faith-moments with your kid that will fit seamlessly into the daily rhythm of your life.
The secret to being the parent you want to be is to pay attention to your daily and weekly rhythm. Chances are, your family has a rhythm that’s entirely your own. Maybe you sing in the morning. Maybe no one speaks before 11am. Every family is unique! Each week, the parent cue app will send “cues” to help you make the most of some of your typical family moments: Like morning time, drive time, meal time, or bedtime. It’s okay if one of these times isn’t a good fit for you. Simply use whatever works in your family routine, and then use it . . . routinely.
We are here for you and with you.

Peace be with you!
