The Oregon Horse Council has been busy during this unique time of a world-wide pandemic.
Our most exciting news is that the Oregon Horse Council has launched an ALL NEW WEBSITE!
We have spent nearly 6 weeks working on a new site which is not only mobile friendly, but also will have much better search engine optimization and many new features.
And at last it is mobile friendly!
With this, we have
updated our news categories
and put quick links in our toolbar menu allowing you to get to the news that you want. News is now accompanied by a large header image that translates well into Facebook posts. New resource pages will be added over the coming weeks with even more content to help people navigate equestrian life.
The most complete calendar available in the State of Oregon
Be sure to post your events!
Our
events calendar is also now on a new platform
allowing us to feature our member events much better. As a member, your events will be highlighted with a featured header image which will show up on the calendar event listings, as well as be able to include as many photos as you would like within your listing. Each listing links to the venue information and host information, and will suggest similar events to our viewers. Member events will also be featured on many pages throughout the website - so please make sure to send us any events, clinics, shows, meetings, fundraisers, etc. that you are hosting!
The Oregon Horse Directory is available online.
It is now more accessible & easier to use.
The online version of the
Oregon Horse Directory is now
being maintained through a software program call
Membee
. This will allow you much more versatility when filling in your profile, as well as being much easier to use! Our members will continue to be highlighted and featured in each category, with Golden Horseshoe members being provided a banner logo/ad on nearly every single page of the website. This will bring much more exposure to your business as people peruse the website.
And there is more!
We are working on many other programs as well! This fall we were planning to bring back the popular
EquiBiz Conference
as a 1 day in person event. With COVID-19, we have updated our plans to now be an online event with opportunities for you to take in all of the presentations. More information will be coming soon about that. We are also working on a
new awards program
to honor and recognize the most deserving in our state. Nominations will be accepted soon and an online video will highlight our recipients this fall.
Our
Meet the Member
and
Oregon Horse Life
videos are continuing to be recorded and posted to our Facebook page and website. If you would like to be featured, please let us know! We need about 30 minutes total to record a video that can gain you much valued exposure.
Without as many opportunities to meet in person, we have shifted all of our programming and future event plans to virtual. This means more equestrians across Oregon will be able to participate without travel or distance being an issue. We are working on a handful of educational and entertaining programs that more information will be coming out about soon.
Remember, our funding comes
solely from membership dues, Oregon Horse Directory advertising, and event/program registration
. With these nearly eliminated this year, we understand the difficult financial situation that many of you may be in today. Thank you for being a member, we hope that our added benefits and value will be something that you share with others and that you encourage their engagement with us as well.
Take a look at our new website!
Thank you for your support - we wish you the best and hope that you stay safe.
