A General Gates son:
This bay stallion with a little white on the right hind coronet, Castor (x Babe by Bob Morgan) was bred by the US Government farm. He was used in the Army Remount Program from 1913 -1920. He performed magnificently in the grueling 300-mile endurance rides for the American Mounted Service Cup, completing the full ride in 1919, 1920, and 1921. He was the only Morgan horse other than an Arabian ever to successfully complete one of these races.

From Rhea Turner: Today I reflect on Oklahoma and that I was able to offer my 6 year old son the opportunity to show his own horse at the World Show this year. For me it took a village to do this and I just wanted to personally thank all the people that came together to make this happen for him. Inspiring youth is truly what makes this world of horses go full circle.

What a blast we had this year OKC!!!
This year I had the privilege of making two young ladies dreams come true and watch them compete, each for the first time, at the Morgan Grand National and World Championship Show.

Tessa Beard and CBMF Head of the Class GCH had some of their best rides to date in some highly competitive hunter pleasure classes. While just falling short of the top ten, she made the judges cards and had a blast while showing her heart horse Bentley.

Delaney Beard finished out her 13 and under years showing the little power house, Affinity’s Crescent Moon. Delaney and Crescent brought home a top ten in GN Hunt Seat Equitation 13 Year Old and in the GN Hunter Pleasure 13 Year Old division, earning a 9th place ribbon in both of those classes. She also brought home a top 5; with a 5th place ribbon in the Morgan Hunter Pleasure Youth Mares class.

We also had a lot of fun in the costume class watching the girls become Trolls, and then cheering on Maddie as she rode Crescent in the Leadline class.

It was a week filled pride as I watched these two young ladies have the time of their life, have amazing rides with their partners in the ring, and achieve their goals that they set out for themselves.

We are so looking forward to the 2019 show season.

Cassidy Moore & Firecrest Penultimate. From facebook: "A marathon day, 5:30 am-10pm, 5 classes, Top 10’s in their dressage classes, 4th in World Champion Showmanship and a wild ride in Walk/Trot Hunter Pleasure that would have left a lot of kiddos in tears, but this girl never lost her smile. She’s just so excited to be here, the ribbons are icing on the cake."
Just from one day of the show!
She also won the Jr. Youth of the Year award for the second year in a row!
Congratulations Cassidy!
Leslie Arnould and Greg Ferguson with Akira Embellished.
From Liz Goldmann: "Trailing clouds of glory..." is Chip (Sutton Remembrance GCH) home from Nationals in OKC with 11 ribbons in 11 classes including his Reserve World Championship Carriage Driving. Special thanks to Dallas Bolen for making us look good!

Anne Margaret Korver won 2nd place in her Grand National Western Pleasure Amateur Masters class, 3rd in GN Western Pleasure Ladies Amateur Gelding class on Rosehaven He'z Top Class. She may have won more. I couldn't find a picture.

Paula Hague was there too and did well, but I couldn't find any information or pictures and didn't have time to do a full review of the gaitkeeper results.

I am sure I am missin't g someone, and I didn't have time to do a full research job on what everyone won. My apology. If you would like to include more information next month, please send me information and pictures.
