An Update from us on COVID-19

MARCH 23, 2020

On March 19, 2020, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-33-20 directing all residents immediately to heed current State public health directives to stay home, except as needed to maintain continuity of operations of essential critical infrastructure sectors and additional sectors as the State Public Health Officer may designate as critical to protect health and well-being of all Californians.

In accordance with this order, the State Public Health Officer has designated Healthcare and Public Health (HPH) Sector personnel “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” to help state, local, tribal, and industry partners as they work to protect communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security.

As a California licensed healthcare professional, Dr. April Lopez will continue to treat patients in her office on a limited and controlled basis in accordance with protocols established by the CDC and state and local public health agencies. Dr. Lopez will continue to rely on their recommendations and expertise to make informed decisions.

To our valued patients at Stadium Chiropractic:

We want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our community, patients, and associates very seriously. Like you, we're closely monitoring the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

For nearly two decades my practice has provided injury rehabilitation and pain management services to the community. Many of my patients are professional public safety personnel and those who, for both medical and personal reasons, are unable to utilize pain medication and rely on my services. Therefore, I will continue to see patients on a modified basis as described below.

The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. As the COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the country, I wanted to share some of the actions Stadium Chiropractic is taking to help protect both you and our employees.

As a result, we are:

  • Reducing patient scheduling.

  • Only accepting prescheduled appointments and not allowing walk in patients until further notice.

  • Suspending elective massage therapy sessions. (Myofascial release allowed as part of an injury rehabilitation or pain management regimen).

  • Increasing the frequency and rigor of cleaning and sanitizing in all areas of our office, especially higher-trafficked areas such as the waiting room, massage rooms & tables, and chiropractic treatment rooms, and our rehab area. We only use commercially produced cleaning and virus killing sanitizing products in our office.

  • Reducing seating in the rehab area and waiting room to maintain appropriate social distancing requirements.

  • Increasing frequency of hand washing & use of alcohol-based sanitizing gel and the use of latex-free gloves by staff.

Based on the guidance we’ve received and the actions we’ve taken, our clinic remains open for patient visits, and we’re doing all we can to make sure you feel safe, comfortable and welcome.

Of course, if you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to let us know. We look forward to seeing you soon and helping you stay well and live active during this stressful time.
