2024 Staff Assembly Council, committed to enhancing the UC ANR staff experience

Across California, members of the Staff Assembly Council work in diverse roles but share a unified mission to help make UC ANR a place where everyone can work, learn, grow, and thrive. As we enter a new year, we are excited to introduce our dedicated SAC members for 2024-25, who are all committed to fostering a vibrant and supportive community.

CUCSA update

Spring quarterly meeting summary

At the spring Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) meeting, final workgroup presentations took place. Representing UC ANR, Shirley Salado presented on the Sustainable Workforce workgroup, while Christine Davidson covered the Well-Being workgroup. Workgroup reports

This year, CUCSA formed four workgroups to research and address topics of significant interest to staff. Each group has compiled their findings and recommendations into a detailed year-end report. These reports are accessible both as written documents and 15-minute recorded presentations, which were delivered at the CUCSA spring meeting on June 7.

Career development opportunities and people support

UC ANR employees are eligible to participate in career development and support opportunities through UC Davis Human Resources. Most of the events are virtual. Check the UC Davis Human Resources website for more workshops, webinars and classes.

July 15: Building a Powerful Resume

In this workshop, you’ll learn the key components to include in your resume and how to customize it to a specific job opening. July 24: Write a Winning Cover Letter

Need help writing a cover letter? Learn the tools to write a compelling cover letter that clearly articulates why you’re the right person for the job. We’ll discuss whom to address it to, how long it should be, and how it can be used to communicate your interest in and fit for the job.
