T2I Update!
Montreat College’s QEP is T2I: Think to Impact. The goal of T2I: Think to Impact is to develop the critical thinking skills of our students so that they can graciously impact the world around them.
It takes a village … so, as we prepare for the early Spring visit of the SACSCOC Team we want to invite each of you to consider being a part of a focus group luncheon.
When the SACSCOC Team visits they would like to meet with 7-10 faculty and staff over lunch to chat about our QEP. If you are willing and able to speak with visiting SACSCOC Team members on Wednesday, March 4th during the lunch timeframe (12:15 – 1:30pm) please reach out to Megan Clunan ([email protected]) and she will connect with you regarding next steps when we return in January. Rest assured, all will be confidently ready for the lunch conversation!
Updates:
Check out the latest publication of The Whetstone, in particularly it’s article on T2I: Think to Impact!
The QEP Lead Evaluator has been identified and reached out to by our SACSCOC liaison.
Department Chairs, be on the lookout for an email from Dr. Sosler regarding core courses and primary assignments within major courses, as the Assessment Subcommittee is beginning to gather data for the second tier of Critical Thinking in the Classroom: Reinforce.
We have solidified our special speaker for the January all-faculty workshop. Anne Oxenreider, who some of you are very familiar with, will be joining us when we return in January to address components of the processes of critical thinking for relevancy and use in the classroom!
Welcome Week 2.0
All new 2019 Fall and 2020 Spring students will be required to attend Welcome Week 2.0 on January 6th and 7th!
