End of Summer Closure
Aug. 25 - Sept. 1
Each year, in order to maintain our excellent water quality, we close the pool at the end of August to drain and refill it.
Continuing the tradition from the last three summers, this year we will be utilizing this period to both service the pool and provide our staff with a well-deserved break by fully shutting down the center.
The NECC facility will be closed from August 25th to September 1st.
We truly appreciate your support and understanding.

Thank you for Seven Wonderful Years
After seven wonderful years, I’ve decided to move on to my next adventure and leave my position at the NECC. The many things I will miss about the center do not make this goodbye an easy one.
I’ll miss the cherry trees in the spring and the sound of Zumba shaking the ceiling. I’ll miss Otter’s amazing water workout playlists and the giant stack of staff birthday cards we pass around each month. I’ll miss watching people pause to notice new art in the lobby, the excited giggles of toddlers coming in for their swim lessons, and the way the building looks covered in snow. Most of all, I’ll miss the people.
I am so grateful for all the amazing community members and staff I’ve been lucky to know over the years. In a time where people feel increasingly isolated and disconnected, I believe the NECC is a shining example of how we can come together and build community one small step at a time. I know that connection will continue long after I’m gone, and I look forward to hearing about all the ways the center grows in the years to come.
Best,
Elizabeth Hill

Reminder: Membership Dues Increasing Sept. 1
Starting September 1, 2025, our membership monthly dues are increasing. Our decision to increase membership dues is part of a broader effort to secure the NECC’s long-term financial stability and ensure the center remains a community asset for years to come. To read the full letter we sent, click here.
Insurance-Based Memberships
Our membership dues increase will not affect insurance-based memberships. We want to take a moment and thank our insurance-based members who make monthly donations to bridge the gap between what insurance providers reimburse and the actual cost of membership. Your generosity helps maintain our facilities and support the classes you enjoy.
If you are interested in increasing your monthly donation to help us close this gap, please contact our Front Desk at frontdesk@necommmunitycenter.org.
