Dear Clients, Families and Team Members:

1.)   We want to inform you that we have received confirmation that 1 employee at Serenity has tested positive for COVID-19. Contact tracing has been completed, and all identified close contacts were notified.

2.)   Per requirements from the Minnesota Department of Health, we are required to pause visitation for 14 days after a positive COVID test of residents or staff. The updated date for consideration to resume visitation is Friday, November 20th.

3.)   Starting Monday, November 16th, we are resuming Essential Caregivers (aka Apartment Visits) with the following exceptions:

  • At this time, we are reducing the total number of Essential Caregivers from FOUR to TWOPlease reach out to your loved one’s nurse to confirm which TWO representatives will serve as Essential Caregivers at this time.

·  Nurse Jennifer Click Here
·  Nurse Amanda Click Here

  • We have limited the time slots slightly; once we get confirmation of who the current Essential Caregivers will be, our nurses will email you a new link to sign up for Apartment Visits.

  • Essential Caregivers will be REQUIRED, to still wear a face mask and eye protection during the entire visit. We take this very seriously as visitors of any kind not following these precautions is extremely risky of bringing COVID inside our doors.
  • Any visitors not following these standards will have visitation temporarily paused or suspended.

  • See a quick table of available time slots to visit on any given day listed below.

4.)   For Thanksgiving, we will be having a “traditional” Thanksgiving Meal for our ladies and gentlemen on Tuesday, November 24th at Noon. Due to the difficulties and logistics, we are unable to extend a Thanksgiving meal to our families and friends of our residents this year. It hurts to type this, but every scenario we can think of to make this happen, doesn’t feel like the safest for Serenity to facilitate. Please, however, consider bringing a family favorite food to share with your loved one when you visit.
  • Keep in mind, if you are sharing a meal with your loved one during a visit, it is IMPERATIVE that you eat 6’ apart, or at minimum, keep your shield on while eating.

Your support and trust in our care means the world to us. Your loved ones are the reason we are fighting our hardest to keep COVID out of Serenity. We love them very much.

Sincerely,
Tim & Elaine Anderson
