All Staff Meeting Update

Special Update on Hosptial Planning

Here is a recap of what Margaret reviewed at last week's all-staff meeting:

Here is an update on the changes you may see over the next couple of weeks as we adapt to not having the Scotts on our team, how you can support this transition, and how we will adapt. Losing two full-time doctors and a third ( Dr. Cappelletti is going on Maternity Leave) in April is something we have yet to experience before.

Relief Veterinarians: New Faces, we are working on making their integration with our team as clear and seamless as possible for our staff and clients. We will rely more on relief veterinarians over the next several months. We are prepared that having relief doctors who are not "on-staff" may be our new "Normal". Please support and make these new temporary team members feel welcome!

Please welcome Dr. Niha Sood - Who is working this coming Saturday, 2/4

Purchasing - With the Scotts leaving and Dr. Cappelletti leaving in April for Maternity leave, we are adjusting our purchasing and inventory minimums to support a decrease in needed supplies. For example, Removing the Hallway Cabinet for Supplies and decreasing the amount of back stock in storage.

Support Staff Schedules -We will be working to adapt to our new changes with the doctors, and we will need to come together to help each other, which may mean supporting other departments or roles. We appreciate your support and adaptability during this time

DVM interviews we will be interviewing doctors and appreciate your support and feedback along the way. One of the areas that we are working to attract veterinarians is through our externship program. We have a full schedule of soon-to-be graduating veterinary students coming through our hospitals for 2 weeks while they are currently in veterinarian school, the relationships we build with these externs are very important, and if they have feedback to share, please reach out to either myself, Rebecca or Jen - we would love to get their perspective on their time with us. We will all need to work together and support each other; we will update you as we work to make additional changes and adapt to our new normal. Please feel free to contact either Margaret, your supervisors, or the leads as you need them.

Please welcome Rachel Moore & Brian Kelly; they will be our veterinary

student externs for the next two weeks!
