Throughout the past 2+ years Cape May Stage has been committed to following the safety standards and protocols set forth by state and local governments along with the Actor’s Equity Union and our fellow theaters in the Broadway League.
Accordingly, as of July 1st, we no longer require masks to be worn during performances at Cape May Stage. In order to ensure the safety of all attendees, we encourage the use of optional masks and ask that patrons respect everyone's individual decision on this matter. We also ask that if you do not feel well that you stay home.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we will revisit our safety requirements as necessary. We will also continue to take precautions to keep you and our staff safe by cleaning and sanitizing the theater on a regular basis.
Thank you for your support and cooperation over the past 2+ years. We wish everyone a healthy summer season!

Heather Turner (pictured above, center) has been a supporter of Cape May Stage since she moved to the shore in 1998. Over the years she's been a member of the Board of Directors, a chair of the annual Gala, and a volunteer usher. Before becoming a full-time Cape May resident, Heather lived in Pittsburgh, PA, where she worked most of her career in the travel industry at Trans World Airlines (TWA).
Heather's love for theater started when she was a child. Her family was involved with musical theater and her grandfather was a music teacher and band leader. She remembers traveling to New York City each winter with her grandfather and his students to see a different Broadway show. The first one she ever saw was "Music Man" and she was hooked!
When asked about her all-time favorite play produced at Cape May Stage, Heather selected "Other Desert Cities". Performed here in 2014, this show was about a family with differing political views and a long-held family secret. Here's a photo from the Cape May Stage archives with Kate Hathaway and Marlena Lustik starring in "Other Desert Cities".

Did you know that Cape May Stage offers complimentary assistive listening devices (ALDs) for our patrons to use? If you'd like to try one out, just ask the box office associate when you arrive at a show and they will give you one to use. We also provide disposable headphones for free, or you can "BYO" headphones to plug into the device. Any standard wired headphones will work; but wireless bluetooth headphones will not.
These ALDs will automatically amplify the sound from the stage and help you to hear every word. By eliminating much of the ambient noise and focusing the sound directly to your ears, ALDs can provide a major boost in the audio quality for any show.
PLEASE NOTE: you cannot wear hearing aids while using the assistive listening device as it will cause feedback in the headset and in your hearing aid.
