Stage Two Opening
Wednesday June 3, 2020

Hello Maryland Members,

Governor Hogan had a press conference this afternoon and announced state two reopenings. "Massage Parlors" may reopen on Friday June 5th at 5pm. That is interpreted to mean all of the locations that offer massage and RMPs.

Here is a link to the Executive Order - The full text is below- if this is you - read it!
Face coverings, 50% capacity, and disinfection protocols are required.

All licensees and registrants, working in large and small businesses are required to follow the recommendations of the Maryland Board of Massage Therapy Examiners. You can read the FSMTB guidelines here.

The Governor also allows for p olitical subdivisions to make independent decisions, so this is a yellow light not a complete green light for massage businesses. Seek local guidance.

What does this mean for all of us in health care settings and all of the certification requirements? We don't have that answer.

Staying home, telework, social distancing are still encouraged. Unemployment has flexibility for people who cannot return to work safely.

Your questions are always welcomed.

Take good care,

Amelia
