Cycle to work scheme available for employers and their employees
The Covid-19 pandemic has led to many people taking up cycling not only as a hobby but also as a lifestyle choice to help adhere to social distancing by reducing use of public transport.

A government scheme is available for employers to set up as a benefit for employees who would like to take advantage of cycling to work and can help employees to save between 25% and 39% on the cost of a new bike or an electric bike.

Cycling Maps available from TfGM
You can ride for hundreds of miles in Greater Manchester on traffic-free cycle paths, or on very quiet roads.

Lots of main roads also have dedicated cycle lanes to make your journey easier.

Face Coverings now mandatory on Public Transport
Face coverings have now become mandatory when travelling on public transport.

When travelling via bus, coach, train, tram, ferry and aircraft passengers must wear a face covering on their journey to help reduce the risk of transmission when social distancing is not always possible.

The government also working with transport operators to ensure staff are provided with face coverings where appropriate.
