Objective 1. To improve access, parking and traffic flow, to, from and around the estate

This Objective is to... Provide an infrastructure for businesses to operate and people and services to access and move around, safely, and effectively.

Access, parking and the condition of roads are important to the businesses and employees located on the Stakehill industrial estate. A key suggestion from both the employee and business surveys was the need for an improved and frequent bus service. Notably most of the suggestions made were concerning the roads and the need to reduce blockages in the roads from vehicles parking dangerously.

The key activities for this objective are:
  • Liaising with the local authority and stakeholders to improve the general condition and access around the estate
  • To work with others to improve lighting where possible on roads and footpaths
  • To work with others to manage and improve parking across the industrial estate
  • To influence other key stakeholders to increase the availability of cost-effective travel options for all
