Together, We Can Achieve Anything
Dear JA Space Coast Stakeholder:

One minute we were celebrating our new Laureates at the JA Business Hall of Fame. The next, schools were closed and the entire Space Coast was working from home. There's a lot of uncertainty about this coming school year. But one thing that  is  certain is that our commitment to inspiring and preparing the next generation for success is stronger than ever. The world tilted on its axis -- and we got right to work!
JA Speaker Series Virtual
By March 19, JA of the Space Coast had begun an online video library of business and community leaders to serve as free resource to teachers and parents-- and even more important, as a source of guidance, inspiration, and hope to our Space Coast kids. The library has racked up more than 2,200 views and more than 250 hours of viewing time. We have 20 videos online with another 20 in queue – from lawyers to educators, launch directors to CEOs. Thank you to the Truist Foundation, Wells Fargo Foundation, FPL, and the EDC of Florida's Space Coast for supporting the launch of this exciting and sustainable program.
New Virtual Programs, Flexibility, and Volunteer Options
And while we were busy here on the Space Coast, JA USA was also working hard, adding virtual options to all of our traditionally in-person programs. Now volunteers will have the option to deliver in-person (district policy allowing), virtually by streaming in, or virtually by recording. Teachers will have the option of having a full 6/7-session program, or just to use a single module to reinforce a subject matter. In addition, parents can help
students navigate through self-guided programs from home. We're working step by step with our partners at Brevard Public Schools to make sure we're ready to serve our students come August.
Programs, Just for the Space Coast
And we haven't forgotten our commitment to creating programs tailored to the Space Coast. Our new JA GLOW: Women in STEM, supported by the Community Foundation for Brevard, is being  rolled  out to 9,000 BPS female students in 2020-2021.  It  is designed to encourage young women to pursue STEM careers , thereby  creating a more diverse and representative workforce of tomorrow. Money 101, our financial literacy program that chronologically takes young people from age 16 to 21 with all the financial tools they'll need to own their economic futures. Underwritten by Community Credit Union, we'll roll it out at Palm Bay City Hall this fall with locations in central and north Brevard to follow.
Junior Achievement of the Space Coast will continue inspiring tomorrows with our proven programs and with the support of volunteers and partners to meet the needs of teachers, students, volunteers, and most importantly, our students in any learning environment. By working together, we can achieve anything. Please email me to learn how you can help.
With warm regards,
Anne Conroy-Baiter
President, Junior Achievement of the Space Coast
