I woke up this morning, (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN!!!) with not one, but TWO songs on my heart—one being the above.

Bishop Harry Mushegan was my MENTOR-the most Godly man I ever knew here on planet earth. It was he who ordained me into ministry way back-WAY BACK on March 29. 1981!!!!!
I spent many WONDERFUL years at his feet and under his tutelage as he taught me HOW to be a Pastor and person-GOD BLESS BROTHER MUSHEGAN'S memory and legacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have weathered many a storm in my 73 years of existence.
Just this morning-as I drove to pick up my granddaughter to care for little Amanda today- JESUS SAVED ME from an automobile wreck as I foolishly paid more attention to my cell phone than my driving.....
How well do I recall the TOO MANY times God/JESUS has spared my life!!!!!!!!!!!
CAN I GET A WITNESS FROM ANYBODY HERE????????????????????
EVERY MORNING!!
EVERY MORNING when I awake I REJOICE!!!!
I REJOICE that Wanda and Amanda and I SURVIVED another night ALIVE!!!
That may sound trite or trivial to some but with my wife and I's declining health due to age issues and little Amanda's lingering medical disabilities, please try to understand the MIRACLE of us STILL being alive!!!

Oftentimes, in my counseling and attempts to ENCOURAGE the brethren I quote Solomon's wise entreaty:
Ecclesiastes 9:4 (KJV)
4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
I am not able to do and live what many people take for granted. No longer do I even think of going to the beach or spending the night far from home.
The TRUTH is we all live in our own prison. No, there may not be walls or bars restricting our “freedoms” but THIS life does have its unique to EVERY individual its own limitations....
It is how we individually deal with its consequences.........................
DAILY we each must grapple with the fact on whether our cup is half-full OR half-empty!

I BELIEVE “A LIVING DOG IS BETTER THAN A DEAD LION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
EVERYONE who receives this word today is “BETTER THAN A DEAD LION!”
