We have kicked off the Stand Up Speak Out Campaign on Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse on a serious and potentially jarring note. That uncomfortable, even startling reaction by some is expected, and perhaps necessary. We are mandated to communicate the seriousness of the United Nations and UNDP's stance on these matters, to hold UNDP team members to the highest standards of conduct, and to foster a safe working space free that nurtures the wellbeing of staff, partners and beneficiaries. Past instances of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse have hurt many persons, disrupted lives and brought the UN System into disrepute. It ends with us. Stand Up, Speak Out.
