Consider making a year-end gift to

Project Harmony

"Why didn’t you say something?" For many children experiencing abuse and neglect, speaking up is not that simple. Fear, shame, confusion and even love for their abuser keep them silent.

Yet, every day at Project Harmony we witness the courage of children coming forward to share what they have endured. We listen to their experiences of suffering sexual abuse, witnessing brutal violence and even falling victim to sex-trafficking. Thanks to devoted donors and partners who have helped Project Harmony’s services expand and evolve, these children no longer feel unsafe, unheard or unloved.

The children in our community cannot overcome these traumas alone. Their silence does not mean they are okay. They need each of us to stand up and say, “Enough!”

On behalf of our Annual Fund Drive Co-Chairs and Board Members, Monique and John Farmer, Kim and Don Kleine, and Andrea and John Marshall, thank you for your continued interest, encouragement and unwavering support. We hope you will consider making a year-end gift to Project Harmony.

November 7, 2025

Project Harmony is taking nominations for the Kids First Award. This annual award is designed to honor and recognize an individual or group who have made significant contributions to the well-being of abused and neglected children and/or children at risk for abuse or neglect.

The 2026 recipients will be recognized at the Project Harmony’s Speaking of Children Luncheon on Thursday April 23, 2026, at Embassy Suites Omaha – La Vista Hotel & Conference Center. This event will include a 2-day conference in partnership with Boys Town, Children’s Nebraska and the United States Attorney’s Office – Nebraska District, providing training and educational opportunities for professionals responding to children in need.

Take a few moments to think of someone you would like to recognize for his/her efforts on behalf of children. This award has become a special way for the partner agencies, Project Harmony Board of Directors, staff and the community-at-large to honor and say "Thank You" to an individual or group on an annual basis.

Community Awareness Assessment

The Anti-Trafficking Collaborative led by Project Harmony is conducting a community awareness assessment to help understand our community’s awareness about child sex trafficking. This 15-question, anonymous assessment is part of a child sex trafficking awareness campaign in Nebraska, and specifically the Omaha metro area. You may receive the assessment more than once with your connection to other Anti-Trafficking Collaborative partners. Please only take the assessment once. This assessment closes on October 31, 2025, and is intended to learn about our community's awareness only. It does not serve as scientific research.

We appreciate your time and submitting your honest answers. Take the assessment here.

Thank you for your support in this important initiative.

Project Harmony

Explain your position at Project Harmony:

I lead the data team and manage the FAMCare case management system, including oversight of data reporting and analytics. I collaborate with organizational leaders to support strategic project planning and execution.

What led you to work at Project Harmony?

As a former educator and a parent, I felt a strong calling to join Project Harmony and support its mission to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect in our community. Through personal stories from friends, families and the students I’ve taught over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the powerful impact this organization can have on the lives of children and those who care for them.

Tell me about someone who has influenced your decision to work at Project Harmony or a mentor who has helped you most in your career thus far.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many remarkable individuals. One who has had the greatest impact on me is my former principal, Thomas Lee (Omaha Public Schools). His leadership is defined by unwavering compassion, empathy and a deep understanding of others, creating a culture where people feel truly seen, valued and supported. His guidance has not only shaped my professional path but also deeply influenced the way I approach relationships, leadership and personal growth.

How do you enjoy spending your time when you are not working?

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my kids and family, whether it’s enjoying movie nights, sharing Indian and Pakistani-style family dinners or traveling.

What is the one thing you are most proud of about your job?

One thing I’m proud of in my role is that our team ensures that every client and family is supported behind the scenes through a dependable system to capture critical data to help support them through their journey at Project Harmony.
