Protect the Future of Special Education.

Protect Students with Disabilities.

Last week, the U.S. Department of Education laid off most of the staff in the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) — the federal team that helps ensure the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is upheld for students nationwide. These layoffs threaten the foundation of special education and the federal oversight that ensures students with disabilities get the services they are guaranteed by law.

✏️ Add your name to the national petition by October 24 to call on Congress to reverse these layoffs and protect the IDEA. If you’ve already signed, thank you. Your voice matters.

Take Action to protect special education ➡️

Please help us amplify this message — forward this email or share the petition link on social media to help protect the IDEA for generations to come.

RIPIN has joined the IDEA Preservation Coalition, a cross-state collaboration of parents, educators, and advocates raising a unified voice to defend special education and the civil rights of students with disabilities.

Thank you for standing with students and families.
