It’s been one month since the devastating Southern California wildfires upended homes, facilities, and entire communities, leaving countless families displaced. We recognize that these impacted communities and agencies face a challenging road to recovery. Please know that CBHA remains steadfast in monitoring ongoing developments and will continue to support those in need.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be publishing a Wildfire Resource Guide, designed to help agencies navigate relief efforts, access funding, and provide essential behavioral health services to the individuals they serve.
We are also proud to support AB 1032, critical behavioral health legislation authored by Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas and Assemblymember John Harabedian. This bill will ensure health plans and insurers reimburse eligible individuals for up to 12 annual visits with licensed behavioral health providers in wildfire-affected counties. We commend the authors’ leadership in advancing legislation that supports those in crisis.
