Dear ESF community,

As a campus, we are all engaged in a wide range of activities and spaces. Sometimes, the busyness of our schedules and commitments doesn’t allow for reflection on who we are or how we’re affected by decisions outside of our control. It is thus a good time to take a moment to remind one another that our campus is a safe and inclusive space for everyone.

ESF is committed to creating an environment built on respect, kindness, and acceptance. We are proud of the diverse community we’ve built at ESF, and we are united in ensuring that every individual feels welcome, supported, and heard. It’s through our collective efforts that we foster a place where everyone can thrive, learn, and grow together. There is no room for hate of any form at ESF. Let’s continue to honor our core values, and embrace the diversity that strengthens and enriches us.

We look forward to onboarding our new Chief Diversity Officer soon, but we also want to remind our community of the spaces where support is in place, most of which are listed below. The work we do to remain a great and inclusive space is on all of us, and we appreciate the role each of you plays in improving both our campus and our world.

Thank you,

Joanie Mahoney

President
