Today, the world marks three years since full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is important to remember, that for 11 years Ukraine has defended its sovereignty against Russian relentless aggression. The world has been appalled by the cruelty of the war waged against Ukraine: Russia has abducted over 20,000 Ukrainian children, committed 146,994 resisted war crimes (UN statistics); killed 11,520 and wounded 23,640 civilians, displacing over 10 million Ukrainians, destroying schools, hospitals, and residential buildings. We thank you for your solidarity and for standing with Ukraine in this challenging time as Ukrainians show their resilience and sacrifice.
The Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund is a part of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in the US humanitarian efforts to support thousands of individuals to bring hope and sustenance at a time of devastating genocidal war. With the trusting and open-hearted mandate of our donors, the Healing of Wounds of the War in Ukraine Fund has distributed over $2.3 million in 2024 focusing on healing of physical, emotional, and spiritual consequences of the war. Overall the Ukrainian Catholic Church in the US through its institutional relief funds distributed over $10 million in humanitarian aid since the full scale invasion had begun.
