Virtual Benefits Enrollment is Here!


It’s almost time to enroll in benefits for the 2023 plan year. At Star Protection Agency, LLC we are committed to providing you with all the resources you need to make the best benefit choices for you and your family. Upon careful consideration, we have decided to terminate our current medical and dental coverage with Cigna and effective 1/1/2023 – our medical and dental plan offerings will be through Premera. Below is information on how to check if your current providers are covered by Premera.

IDENTITY AND FRAUD PLAN

“Virtual” Open Enrollment for the 2023 plan year will begin on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 and will end on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022.

Full-Time (Benefits Eligible) Employees, who were hired on or before November 1st will be receiving an open enrollment email from EASE. This email will provide you access to our open enrollment materials and portal access to our enrollment platform. You will NOT be automatically enrolled.


Please be sure to keep an eye on your email for this notification from EASE (please be sure to check your spam and promotion folders – as sometimes these emails end up there). If you do not see an email for open enrollment, please email benefits@starprotection.com. If you are unable to remember your password – please click the “Forgot Password” button on the EASE Portal to reset your password.

Your Responsibilities During Open Enrollment

Your electronic benefits guide is attached, and will be available on the Ease Portal, to help you navigate through the process and make the best choices for you and your family. It’s important to take time to review your current benefits and determine whether they still meet the needs of you and your family or if you are interested in evaluating other options for next year.


We will be collecting our enrollments via EASE (link to the website is below). EASE will be sending out open enrollment communications/reminder emails as well.




Benefit Guide

If you don’t want to make any changes to your current benefit elections, you don’t need to take any action. We will automatically move your current enrollments from our previous medical carrier over to Premera. Additionally, any elections you have for benefits through MetLife will automatically roll over as well. All your current benefit elections will automatically carry over and remain effective for the 2023 plan year. If you want to change any of your current benefit elections/who you cover on the plan/waive any coverage, you will need to go in and make those elections via the EASE Portal via your personal account.


We do ask that employees confirm they have a beneficiary designated through EASE. While you can make changes to your beneficiary at any time throughout the year, it is advisable to ensure that you have the correct person designated each year at open enrollment.


NOTE: Due to federal regulation, we are unable to process late enrollment forms. We cannot make changes to your coverage during the year unless you experience a legal qualifying event such as change in family status, such as:


Loss or gain of coverage through your spouse


Loss of eligibility of a covered dependent


Death of your covered spouse or child


Birth or adoption of a child


Marriage, divorce or legal separation


Switch from part-time employment to full-time employment
