Artisan Market Trunk Show July 5,6,7
All three days of the Fourth of July weekend,
RDA will host a special Trunk Show in our Artisan Market.
Artisans will be on hand with special
Star Spangled Deals
to share with you. Shop for unique gifts for yourself or someone with a special occasion coming up.
DuCard Vineyards
will be pouring wine on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7.
Grand Slam BBQ
will be serving declicious pulled pork sandwiches on Saturday.
Ben Stowe
will entertain you with his fiddle on the porch on Sat. from 2 to 4.

RDA is pleased to host an exhibit by the Washington Society of Landscape Painters to celebrate the society's centennial during August and September. We will share specifics about this exhibit in the August issue of ARTICLES.

The judging for the Piedmont Virginian Artist Showcase has been completed. The competition was fierce. Over 250 entries were received and 77 works of art were selected by the jurors due to space limitations. That means many the entries didn't make the cut even though they were great!
Sponsored by Piedmont Virginian Magazine, the show featuring the best of the best will be hosted by River District Arts October 5 - November 30. Here is a link

Middle Street Gallery Launches Membership Drive
Congratulations to Middle Street Gallery
for being part of the artistic tapestry of
Rappahannock County for thirty years!
Currently underway is a Membership Drive. Anyone interested in becoming a member is invited to the Opening Reception for the Members Summer Group Exhibit on Saturday, July 13 from 2 to 5 pm to meet current members and discuss how to join this dynamic organization.

Beyond The Studio in July

Our studio artists work diligently to create art to share with you. You can visit them every Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 10am to 5pm in their studios at RDA. They also venture out into the real world:
Jackie Bailey Labovitz - (Studio 1) Photographs on Canvas exhibited in the East Gallery of the U.S. Botanical Garden through Oct. 14 and at the National Academy of Sciences through Nov. 11.
Oak Shade Farm Artisans - (Studio 9) Warrenton Farmers Market every Saturday 7am to Noon through Nov. 23.
Carole Pivarnik (Studio 2, specializing in watercolor dog portraits) will participate in Northern Virginia Magazine's Dog Days of Summer at Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn on July 20 from 1 to 3.
