eRecycling startup grows, looks to Eagan collections
|
Expansion continues for ProAct eRecycling Services. |
Collection volume has been strong for ProAct eRecycling Services, which has grown to employ a crew of eight individuals on weekdays in Red Wing, explains eRecycling Manager Tim Hovey.
With Eagan collections just around the corner, the manager is hoping to eventually double the amount of materials coming in. It's a mix of consumer and business goods, with some businesses unloading electronics that have been sitting in storage for more than 10 years, he explains.
Coming soon is a final review for R2/RIOS certification, a key environmental milestone that will bring added credibility and accountability to the recycling operation in the future.
A key Eagan staff person attended training in Virginia to provide needed background in setting up the ProAct collection operation for the Twin Cities.
