Welcome to the Plymouth District Library online community
It’s October and that means Star Wars Reads Day
Star Wars
We’ve planned a new kind of Star Wars Reads Day this year, as we spend the month of October celebrating the many SW books available for readers at all levels.

We've pulled Star Wars books for your quick grab and go, plus have a new lobby display with make-and-take crafts (a new one every Monday), free books from the Friends and Star Wars bookmarks.

If you have any family Star Wars photos, we'll post them on our display. Email them to print@plymouthlibrary.org.
Put the books you want on hold
So many times a patron walks up to the desk and asks the librarian for help finding a new book they've heard about. When it turns out that it's a book that everyone is talking about and the book is checked out, the librarian asks, "Would you like me to put that on hold for you?" Often, the answer is, "Oh, no. I don't want to bother you." Please do!

It is our pleasure to put books on hold for you. The number of people waiting for a book tells us how popular the book is and how many additional copies to buy. Your hold request actually shortens the wait time for everyone.

News for book clubs
We've been freshening up our Book Club Kit
collection!

If your club has never used one of these handy kits, know that each one has 10 copies of the book, plus discussion questions and author info. A few of the newest titles include Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty, Red at the Bone by Jaqueline Woodson, Heart Berries by Terese Marie Mailhot, and A Spark of Light by Jodi Picoult. You can always put a hold on a book club kit if it is checked out.

Looking for more book club kit options? Try our E-Book Club Kits, which are entirely digital versions of our classic kits! New titles are added monthly and are available through Hoopla, which means no waiting to check out a book. Some of these new titles include Lovecraft Country by Matt Ruff, Saving Ruby King by Catherine Adel West, and Hieroglyphics by Jill McCorkly.
