Community Health Center of Cape Cod Hosts Successful 20th Annual Golf Tournament

Community Health Center of Cape Cod hosted its 20th annual golf tournament at Pocasset Golf Club on Monday, September 14. While this year’s event was different than previous years due to COVID-19, the Health Center was pleased to be able to offer a safe and successful event. More than 100 golfers participated, raising funds to support the Health Center’s mission to improve the health of the community through the provision of comprehensive, high quality, compassionate health care to all, regardless of ability to pay. The fundraising event raised nearly $65,000 for the Health Center’s programs and services.
The Health Center is grateful for the incredible show of support from the community and tournament sponsors, including platinum sponsor Slade Mortgage and the following gold sponsors: BizChecks Payroll, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Dr. R. Bruce Donoff, Group Brokerage Insurance Agency, Jarvis Inc., Massachusetts League Of Community Health Centers, MEDCOM Architectural Group, Northland Residential, Physicians Insurance, and Raponi Drywall & Plastering.
The group of Greg Siroonian, Ann-Marie Siroonian, Gregory Siroonian II, and Tim Ferrulo from the MEDCOM team placed first in the mixed division. Winning first place for the men’s group was Scott Ghelfi, Michael Ghelfi, Durham Ghelfi, and Andrew Kelly from the Falmouth Road Race team. Pictures and more details about the event can be found at www.CHCofCapeCod.org/golf.

Zoom Meeting with Community Developoment Partners
All Cape Cod businesses have been affected by the pandemic. While many have adapted as well as possible by adopting changes to their methods and pursued available financial assistance, for some the plans just haven’t worked. A Plan B is needed. The Community Development Partnership and SCORE Cape Cod and the Islands are joining together to host a workshop that will explore the elements of a Plan B. We’ll cover two principal concepts – first, business triage, or how to position yourself to generate sufficient cash flow to continue; and second, options to consider if generating sufficient cash flow to continue is not possible. The webinar will take place on October 8, beginning at 6:00 p.m. This is a FREE event, but advance registration is required at: Register at https://capecdp.org/event/plan-b-workshop
