Stark County Land Bank

Recently Awarded $1,001,231

in Grant Funding for Demolition

In late October Governor DeWine’s office announced 825 demolition projects across 30 counties that were approved

for funding under a new program called the Building Demolition & Site Revitalization Program (BDSR). The program is administered by the Ohio Department of Development and was created to provide funding for demolition of commercial and residential buildings and the revitalization of surrounding properties. Within Substitute House Bill 110, approximately $150 million has been allocated for demolition and revitalization projects for the BDSR program. The 825 projects announced were approved for just over $37.2 million of the available funding.

Wrapping Up 2022

Every December, the RPC staff "adopts" a family through A Community Christmas of Stark County. We are able to provide assistance to those in need by fulfilling a family's wish list for the holidays. At lunch time, we have a pizza party and wrap all of the presents. Staff donates money and requested items to a Stark County family to help make the season a little brighter.
