Stark County Regional Planning Commission's
Annual Dinner
Over 150 guests attended this year's Annual Dinner at Arrowhead Golf and Event Center on March 16th. The guest speaker was Ray Hexamer, President and CEO of the Stark Economic Development Board, a non-profit economic development organization that has a mission of expanding and attracting business in Stark County.

2022 Governmental Law Seminar

On Saturday, February 26th, RPC and the Stark County Prosecutor's Office hosted their biennial Governmental Law Seminar at Exploration Gateway. Just over 100 people were registered for the seminar. Session topics included: Expansion of Sanitary Sewers into Problem Sewage Areas (keynote session), Basics of Zoning, RPC & Health Department Grants, Land Bank, Public Records & Records Retention, Nuisance Abatement, GIS Usage for Communities, Drainage Complaints, and Sunshine Law. The month of April is a designated time to celebrate the advancements of equal access to housing regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, military status, ancestry, disability and familial status. This April marks the 54th Anniversary of the passage of the Fair Housing Act and its promise of equal housing for all Americans.

Adoption of the FY '22 HOME and FY '22, '23 & '24 CDBG Funding Plans

The Community Development Department has spent the past several months planning and preparing for the upcoming funding year. In March, the proposed funding plans for the FY 2022 HOME and CDBG programs and FY 2023 and FY 2024 CDBG infrastructure projects were presented to the public.

Stark County Home & Garden Show

The Stark County Home & Garden Show was held March 11-13 at the Stark County Fairgrounds. Stark County's Stormwater Education Program had a booth at the show. This year's stormwater theme is "Do Your Part, Be Septic Smart" which focuses on the proper care
of home septic systems. Over 3,200 people attended the weekend event. A lot of information and giveaways were handed out at the booth.
