Simple Starters Conversation Cards
Research has shown that when children eat with their parents regularly, they are more likely to be emotionally strong, have better mental health, improved family relationships, higher grades, reduced stress, and are less likely to try drugs. These Simple Starter conversation cards were created by North Canton Hoover High School seniors to improve family conversation around the dinner table and have gained popularity in other forums, too!
Capitol Hill Day
Coalition & Community Development Coordinator, Justina Gorman, Young Adult Coordinator, Max Doll, and Stark County Youth Led Prevention members, Katie Doll and Miranda Kochur, attended Capitol Hill Day at CADCA last week. They spoke to our representatives advocating for substance use and suicide prevention, and encouraged them to "Destroy the Stigma" around these topics!
