Thursday: Stark Library and StarkMHAR invite you to hear Elizabeth Vargas' story of recovery
Join us September 12, in the heart of September, National Recovery Month, to hear Elizabeth Vargas discuss her memoir, Between Breaths: A Memoir of Panic and Addiction. The book details her struggles with anxiety and alcohol, and tells a powerful story of healing and coping. This event is free of charge and registration is required.
Recovery Scholarship applications due tomorrow by 4 p.m.
StarkMHAR is pleased to offer individuals in recovery seeking to advance their education in a mental health, alcohol or drug related field, an opportunity for an academic scholarship. This scholarship is offered to individuals in recovery seeking to advance their education in a MH/AoD related field. Applicants must be a Stark County resident with lived experience interested in working in the behavioral health field and advancing their education through enrollment in an accredited vocational, technical or college program.

You may have read about a recent spike in fatal overdoses in our county. On Sept. 21, 15 locations throughout the county will take your expired, unwanted, unused medications - no questions asked - for safe disposal. Tell a friend!
