Each year Project Homeless Connect hosts an event that connects those who are in danger of becoming homeless, are homeless or are just getting re-established after being homeless with agencies and services that give them a hand up.

Drug Take Back Day is Sept. 22!
Save the date for Drug Take Back Day! Police officials will be on-site collecting medications and disposing of them according to proper protocols. This program is completely anonymous - no questions will be asked and no identification is needed. All medications will be accepted. For a list of drop-off locations, click below:
Mental Health & Addiction: Breaking the Stigma
Join us for a symposium on behavioral health issues within our region. This event brings together thought leaders from across the area, and country, to discuss our response to the current crisis we are facing, including the addiction, mental health and psychiatric needs of our community.

WHEN: Tuesday, September 25

WHERE: Walsh University Barrette Business and Community Center 

TIME: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

COST: $25 per person
MSW Cohort Information Meeting
StarkMHAR has partnered with the University of Akron School of Social Work to create a cohort model for a master's degree program in social work. Join us for a free informational meeting in the StarkMHAR Inclusion Room on September 26th at 5:30pm.
NAMI Moving Forward for Mental Health Walk
Join NAMI for its Annual Moving Forward for Mental Health Walk on Sunday, October 7 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and show your support for those in our community who are touched by mental illness.

All participants MUST register for this event – there is no fee for registration.

Check-in is at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoover Park Pavilion. The walk starts at 2:00 p.m.
