Happy New Year!!
We hope you had a beautiful holiday season and enjoyed meaningful time with
family and friends.
Feeding the Fosters social media gratitude posts have been flooded with pictures of happy children this Christmas which is thanks to you. Our village purchased gifts, collected hygiene items, donated gift cards, paid for meals and gifted amazing experiences! Your generosity made this holiday truly special and full of memories these children will never forget.
Trips to the Florida Aquarium, Zoo, Busch Gardens, bowling, Sky Zone, CiCi’s pizzeria, the Jolly Trolley, Lightening games, Straz to see The Outsiders, and ice skating and snow tubing at SnowCat Ridge helped families bond and share experiences with each other. Seeing snow was a first for many, and watching the expression on a child’s face as they saw Christmas lights in
Largo park was unforgettable.
Foster parents were gifted massages and a house “Sparkle” which helped them to relax and focus on the children. In this season of giving you gave hundreds of meals, including an amazing Christmas dinner.
We were also able to replace a broken refrigerator for a family of 9 and a washer and dryer for a family of 5.
When you help someone, there is a ripple effect, and we’ll never fully know how far that ripple travels.
For many, it is in the giving that we receive.
As we step into 2026, let’s remember to not be quick to judge but compassionate and intentional in our commitments: that a meal, a gift card, or a donation, all contribute to the collective good of our foster/adoptive community and beyond.
This is who we are at Feeding the Fosters-a village of doers who support the foster/adoptive parents in their hard every day lives.
So as we begin 2026 together, we pose this question:
How will you make a difference in the life of a foster/adoptive child this year?
