On December 10, about 150 people attended Parma Area Chamber of Commerce's very first event at the Ridgewood Golf Club and Event Center! Regardless of the weather and the road conditions that evening, the vibe indoors was joyful and festive! The site is beautiful and inviting, and Amber and her staff were the hosts-with-the-most! Stepping in from the snowstorm, guests were greeted in the lobby by the friendly faces of Pastor Christin Moreland from Parma-South Presbyterian Church and Julie Bruno from Love Coffee. The atmosphere was made complete with the sounds of Christmas music beautifully played on the keyboard by Jack Roberts from Parma Symphony Orchestra. Igor Djurin and staff from Schnitz Ale Brewery had charcuterie, dinner, and dessert (from Branka's Bake Haus) that were delights to the eyes and to the palate! Even Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance... and rumor has it, they were recently in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Many thanks to sponsors Schnitz Ale Brewery, Forest City BNI Chapter, Jerry Kuhn's Kwik Car Wash, IronClad Plumbing & Drain, Ken Brown & Associates, Balloonatics, Parma Symphony Orchestra, and Ridgewood Golf Club and Event Center. You all helped make this event a most fabulous evening!
If you've driven past the PACC office on Ridge Road, you've seen our big flamingo in the window, greeting passersby. The flamingo joined us for the Jingle and Mingle, and we held a contest to give our feathery friend a name. After votes were tallied, we have a winner! The festive pink bird shall henceforth be called (drumroll, please)... FLOCKY BALBOA! Congratulations to Brandon Bunyak of U.S. Bank, who came up with the catchy name.
