The 30th Annual Chamber Golf Outing co-hosted by Marketplace Foods Clintonville, WI was a huge success! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the participants, volunteers, board members and ambassadors that helped make this all possible. I especially cannot forget our sponsors - the impact of your contributions is immense and we could not hold these great fundraising events without your support! We have some truly amazing businesses in our community! Each player received a sleeve of golf balls courtesy of First State Bank and our lunch was provided by Clintonville Motors and No Boundaries Nutrition.

Thank you to Riverside Golf Course of Clintonville for your amazing hospitality and especially to Bill Hurley for all of his help in organizing the players and hole games. When you are not a golfer, it can be challenging to run a golf outing! Their expertise was top notch! The raffle baskets from our area businesses were terrific - thank you to all that donated! I would also like to thank Dixon Golf, a charity event organization, for their help in additional fundraising efforts for this event. If you are looking to up your organization's golf outings, I'd be happy to get you connected! A water bottle filling station has also been added to reduce single use plastics.  Local Artwork: Bank First’s commitment to celebrating local creativity includes featuring artwork by area artists in the remodeled space, bringing a sense of local charm and personality to the office. Bank First celebrated the renovation with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 10, 2025, welcoming guests to explore the refreshed space, view newly featured local artwork, and connect with the team. The Clintonville Police Department is hosting their Annual Golf Outing on Friday, August 1st, 2025, at Riverside Golf Course, 100 Clubhouse Drive, Clintonville, WI 54929. This event raises funds for the Police Department K9 and Community Policing Funds.

CONGRATS CLINTONVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL!

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has named Clintonville Middle School a 2023–24 Wisconsin School of Recognition, an honor highlighting its dedication to student growth and achievement as a High Impact School. This distinction is based on a rigorous set of criteria, including academic performance, measurable progress in student growth or graduation rates, reducing achievement gaps - particularly among students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The Wisconsin Schools of Recognition program honors Title I schools that demonstrate success in educating all students, particularly those experiencing poverty. After a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, the DPI resumed the awards for the 2023–24 school year to continue celebrating schools that make a lasting impact.

Hello, my name is Marilynn Shorey.

After more than 50 years as wife, mother, employee and volunteer, I finally retired. Being retired and having an empty nest, I found it was time to pick up a paintbrush and get reacquainted with watercolor painting again. My goodness, how things have changed!

I enjoy painting landscapes, old architecture, birds, and animals. Ever looking to improve my skills I search for free download photos or take some of my own. These make great references for me to transform what I see in the photo into a good watercolor painting representation on paper. I hope you like my work. I have also used the favorite photos of friends and family to create an original painting for them. It pleases them and gives me a great sense of satisfaction.

After retirement a few years ago, my husband and I moved to Clintonville. A new neighbor recommended I check out the November Pigeon River Artists show at the Community Center. What I found was a super pleasant, talented and helpful group of local artisans. I joined the group the following January. In an effort to keep my painting area from getting overrun, I show my work at local events hoping to sell some of it and stay ahead a bit.

Aside from our Made Local sale events, the PRA also work on community projects such as painting benches and electrical boxes throughout the City.

They are looking for volunteers to help out on Tuesday, July 15 from 4–8 PM!  The event officially runs from 5–7 PM, but pilots often fly in early, so the action starts sooner! Rain or shine, it will be a night to remember!
