Dear colleague, Can you believe it's almost time for kids to head back to school?! It may not have been a "normal" summer by anyone's standards, but we hope you were able to enjoy some time in the great outdoors doing your favorite summer activity. Personally, our summers have been filled with hikes, family bike rides, and even a camping trip or two. :) As we prepare for the start of a new school year, now is a great time to start thinking about how your organization will educate and engage students remotely. With reduced in-class learning, many new opportunities to educate our youth online are presenting themselves each week. In this month's newsletter, we'll talk about some of the fun ways we're helping our clients educate students about important topics like their water resources, drought, and simple steps to save water at home. Custom Children's Water Education Activity Booklets Your opportunities to present water education content in-person to local students may very well be CANCELLED for the year. HOW ELSE CAN I EDUCATE LOCAL STUDENTS REMOTELY? There's so much you can do to educate students remotely when you can't be there to present in-person. Here are just a few ideas to get the creative juices flowing: Start a college scholarship program for high school students interested in water careers. Run a student art contest - photography, water colors, chalk, you name it! Create a custom water education worksheet (print or digital) filled with fun activities, info and tips. Build a water education webpage with games and resources for students. Help your local Girl Scout or Boy Scout troop earn a water badge by doing a community service project. These are just a few of the countless ways you can continue to teach students about important water concepts, whether in-person or from home.
