Our 2020-2021 Campaign Season is in Full Swing!
Get Virtual with our United Way!

You know what time it is? You got it! Campaign season! Our staff is in full swing as we work a little differently this year to help raise money and bring awareness to our United Way! It's no secret that times are tough and raising money during a pandemic is stressful! We have created some cool and interesting things this year to showcase how our United Way makes a difference in McHenry County and why it is more important than ever before to help our community!

We have gone completely virtual, have an online toolkit for all to access with ease, created a YouTube Channel for videos and have been hostinglive discussions and lunch-n-learns with partner agencies via Facebook!

We are asking every member of the community to consider giving their best gift. Why? Because we know that as funding goes down, the needs go up! Our residents are important to our community! We know you agree.

If you need help launching your campaign or are interested in helping the community and those who need it most during this time, please contact our Resource Development Manager, Heidi Berardi at hberardi@uwmchenry.org.

Impact Stories From the Community
By Heidi Berardi
Recently, I took a call from a woman who was living in a motel room with her elderly mother, husband, son and the family dog. They were counting their last dollars and knew next week they would be homeless. The woman said a series of events involving job loss and illness put them in a place where next week, they would be living in their car and would have to give up their beloved dog. She was so upset.

´╗┐Fortunately, there is a network of nonprofits I could refer her to so she would be safe while creating a plan to rebuild. These nonprofits, however, are quickly becoming overwhelmed as we head into the next wave of the pandemic.

They need our help!
