Crossroads provides resources to support your spiritual growth throughout the week and offers opportunities to connect to a warm, welcoming, and affirming community.
Feel free to share any of the resources with family and friends!
Indoor Worship Every Sunday at 10am and
Online at 8:30am
In case you haven't heard, we have resumed indoor worship services every Sunday at 10am! And you no longer need to register beforehand. Please note that masks are recommended while you are in the church building.

We also now have several tables in the Sanctuary where families can sit together during the worship service. Coloring pages and crayons are available and you are welcome to bring a snack and drink as well!

If you can't join us in person, you can catch our online service time at 8:30am. We hope you can watch the livestream with us before your day gets busy or as always, you can watch the archived service anytime that is convenient for you beginning Sunday afternoon.
In honor of Pride Month find out...
How to Be an Ally and Advocate for LGBTQ+ Teens
June 10th at 7pm
Hear from leaders in the pride community about how to become an ally to some of our most vulnerable teens.

Graduation Sunday is this Sunday, June 13th!
We can't wait to celebrate our graduating students both in our online worship service at 8:30am and our indoor service at 10am.

If you have, or know of a student graduating from high school, college or graduate school this year, please click here to provide the name of the student with pertinent information such as school graduating from, degree achieved if post secondary and next steps (education, military, career plans, etc).

We would also love a photo of the graduate. It can be submitted by emailing it to our communications team.
Summer Acts of Service
For the months of June, July and August, Crossroads is bringing back Summer Acts of Service! Each month will have a different SERVE focus with many ways you, individually or as a family, can serve your community.

June’s Summer Acts of Service will focus on animal and creation care. As United Methodists we are called to be stewards of all of God’s creation. The following is an excerpt from the United Methodist Social Principles:The Natural World.

"All creation is the Lord’s, and we are responsible for the ways in which we use and abuse it. Water, air, soil, minerals, energy resources, plants, animal life, and space are to be valued and conserved because they are God’s creation and not solely because they are useful to human beings. God has granted us stewardship of creation. We should meet these stewardship duties through acts of loving care and respect."

Before you serve with action, begin by going through the reflection questions that can be found here. We go inward to reflect and then we go outward to serve.
Below are ways Crossroads is encouraging families and individuals to serve our four legged friends:

*Loudoun County Animal Shelter – Crossroads will be collecting food items for the LCAS food drive. We are collecting the following items:
  • Purina Dry Dog Food
  • Milk Bone Dog Biscuits (small size)
  • Friskies Canned Cat Food
  • Cat Treats

*Donate handmade dog toys to the LCAS. Watch this tutorial for making dog toys. These simple and easy to make toys are a fun activity for all to enjoy. All you need is a tee shirt!

All food items and dog toys can be dropped off during worship on Sundays or outside Crossroads Entrance 1 any time before Wednesday, June 30th. An Amazon wish list for food items can be found here for easy shipping to Crossroads.

*Learn about Native Wildlife by checking out the Blue Ridge Wildlife CenterThe center is a full-service, wildlife teaching hospital that cares for injured, sick, or orphaned native wildlife and teaches the public how to be good stewards of the land around us. Check out their website for educational opportunities and ways you can serve.

*Learn to care about all of God’s Creation by checking out the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy – Audubon at HomeThe Audubon at Home program was created to make a difference by supporting the efforts of property owners and managers to become better stewards of nature in their own outdoor spaces.
Crossroads: A Fruitful Church
Advent through Pentecost tells Jesus’ story. With the birth of the Church, empowered through the Holy Spirit, and in light of its fully inclusive nature, Pastor Larry will teach on five practices of a fruitful congregation.

Small Group Reflection Guide
We designed a special small group reflection guide for Sunday's message. If you are not part of a small group, you can share these reflections with a friend, do them as a couple, or as a family with older children and teens. Or you can spend time going through the reflections by yourself.

To get connected to a small group, email Deborah Michel.
Baptism Workshop
Sunday, August 8th, 9am-1pm
Preparing for a child’s baptism begins with learning the elements of the family blessing. During this time parent/s will reflect on their family story in connection with the Biblical story and the sacred gift of their child’s birth and life.

Please contact Deborah Michel for more information or you can register here.
Crossroads Kids @ Home!
Register here for the next online gathering of Crossroads Kids @ Home on June 13th at 9am. Each week we'll meet for an exciting, interactive time of bible stories, prayer, songs, crafts, and time to get to know each other.

You will receive a confirmation email with a password protected link to the Zoom meeting with further instructions. Email Jill Wiggins with any questions.
