Start Your Week with Crossroads
September 8, 2020
Crossroads hopes to provide resources to help you and your family throughout the week. Every week we will send this out listing ways to help you on your spiritual path.
Feel free to share them with family and friends!
Remember These Truths
For his final message series before retirement, Pastor Dave is sharing five truths that he has learned over these past 31 years. The series is Remember These Truths. More information can be found here.

Dave and Cathy have written these Remember These Truths Affirmations and Guided Meditation Blessings as a gift they hope will continue to be an ongoing blessing to each of you.

Spiritual growth resources for every day can be found here and on the GOTGo app:

Additional songs and videos used in yesterday's gathering:
Small Group Reflection Guide
We have designed a special small group reflection guide for the Remember These Truths series. If you are not part of a small group, you can share these reflections with a friend, do them as a couple, or as a family with older children and teens. Or you can spend time going through the reflections by yourself.
Sign up for a Listening Session with Larry Thompson!
Starting October 1st, Larry Thompson will be the interim pastor serving and helping to guide the Crossroads family. We invite you to sign up for a time to attend one of the listening sessions being offered in October and November so that Larry can hear from the Crossroads community. Sign up here.
Job Opportunity at Crossroads!
Crossroads is excited to announce a new opening for a key leadership role as Intergenerational Integrator. As a key leader (and reporting to the Senior Pastor), the candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about planning, leading, and overseeing all Crossroads’ ministries and missions inside and outside of the church. Read more here.
Crossroads Kids @ Home is Coming Soon!
Starting soon, we will be hosting an online worship gathering for children on Sunday mornings! Watch Jill Wiggins' video about it here.

If you haven't already done so, please respond the the Children's Ministry Survey here.
Church @ Home for Students

Crossover Retreat
Rising 6th graders and their parents are invited to an afternoon retreat celebrating students' passage to middle school. More information and registration can be found here.
Crossroads Has a Labyrinth!
While the labyrinth may look like a maze to solve, its use is simultaneously more intentional and more expansive. When walking a labyrinth, you are moving your body purposefully and mindfully as a prayer.

You are invited to use this gift created by a member of the Crossroads family, Jack Lawrence, as his Eagle Scout project. Click here for more information on the labyrinth.
Navigating Local Mental Health Resources
Thursday, September 17th 7pm
School is starting and many parents are concerned about the mental health impact on their teen from our continued social isolation. It can be difficult watching a teen struggle with their mental health, and even harder trying to find the right support team. Have you worried about a mental health emergency or crisis?

In their next Parental Panel, representatives from the Ryan Bartel Foundation will talk to experts who oversee local mental health resources including crisis intervention services.  These are valuable, but often unknown resources for all parents, caregivers and teens. Register for the Zoom call here.
Couples Workshop November 6-7
In this time of COVID, we may find ourselves spending time and energy on new and unforeseen challenges. One side effect is that we have less energy to tend to what should be a priority: our relationship. This workshop is an opportunity for you to nurture the relationship and build on your strengthens as a couple.

Join Jack and Debra Dalby, LCSW as they explore important skills that allow for meaningful couple connection that promote a sense of trust and security, as well as productive means of managing conflict.

Friday, November 6: 7-9pm
Saturday, November 7: 10am-3pm

Cost: $200
This will be a Zoom Workshop. You can register here.
New Women's Bible Study
Tuesday, Sept. 22 through Nov. 17 at 9:30am.

The group will be studying "Discerning the Voice of God" by Priscilla Shirer. Click here for a link to the workbook. For more information and to register for this Zoom study, click here.
