Here are a few tips to start the year out right.

  • As you prep for the start of the Spring 2024 semester on January 16, review our Start of Semester Guide for guidance in setting up your course.

  • Consider participating in "Introduction to Quality Matters", an online, asynchronous course that runs for a one-week period between January 16 and January 23. Registration ends January 9 at Noon.

ISU Annual Student-Centered Learning Workshop (AY23-24) Online Offerings

We are hosting university-wide online synchronous offerings of the ISU Annual Student-Centered Learning Workshop (AY23-24) for faculty unable to attend their departmental one. To register, pick the date that works best for you and fill out the Zoom form that matches it:

New for 2024

CELT Excellence in the Scholarship

of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Award

Open to all Iowa State faculty members (both term and tenure-track) or P&S employees with teaching appointments who meet the following requirements:

  • Attended one CELT-sponsored workshop/program in the last two years.
  • Iowa State employees at the time of the CELT Celebration (April 2024).
  • Nominations from colleagues, department chairs/supervisors, and self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.

Successful awardees will receive a $1,500 one-time stipend and be recognized at the CELT Celebration on April 4, 2024. Submit your nomination by January 19, 2024.
