The Lutheran School of Theology began its first semester of 2020 last week.

The campus is busy with students from different regions of Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Congo, and South-Sudanese from Kakuma’s refugee camp.

Our first team of volunteers arrived for the school opening from Zion Lutheran Church of Avilla, Arkansas. Pastor Mike Schleider teaches the book of Jeremiah. Herman Reeves is fixing roads, and his wife, Janice, works on getting the library books into software.

The LST hosted a meeting with Maasais from our neighborhood. The road repairs and other cooperation were discussed. The community representatives expressed their gratitude for the dam that provides drinking water for their cattle year around. They were pleased to welcome Herman who strives to make everybody’s travel on the roads smoother.
If you'd like to support the important work happening at Lutherans in Africa, you can give through our donor software or through our Paypal .

Please give the money to the general funds so the money is best able to be used to address the immediate needs of the students instead of a designated fund.
