FCC Closes TCPA Lead Generator “Loophole” – Consent Required for Each Seller

On December 13, 2023, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) implemented fresh regulations under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). These rules could significantly impact dealers, as well as comparison shopping platforms, lead generators, and other entities used by dealerships. Clean Vehicle Credit Transfer Checklist

The IRS has published a Clean Vehicle Credit Transfer Checklist. The checklist provides information on transferring the clean energy credits from the customer to the dealer. It is recommended to include this in your deal jackets if a credit is transferred along with any customer assertions/attestations.

Rick Case Bikes for Kids Collects 100,000+ Gently Used Bikes in Last 41 Years

For more than 40 years, Rick Case Bikes for Kids has collected upwards of 100,000 gently used bicycles from the local community at their car dealerships in Broward County, Florida; Duluth, Georgia; and Roswell, Georgia. The bikes are donated to children through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Habitat for Humanity of Broward, Women in Distress, Broward County Public Schools and other local charitable organizations, churches, synagogues and schools. Rick and Rita Case launched Rick Case Bikes for Kids together in 1982 and have been matching kids with bikes every year since.
