TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART MOON

On Sunday, January 20, a "super blood moon" will delight stargazers with the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st century. The Fleet is hosting a viewing event with fun and educational eclipse-related activities; including an exclusive edition of The Sky Tonight planetarium show, a special presentation of Hubble in the Heikoff Giant Dome Theater and hands-on demonstrations.

Following the planetarium show, we welcome you to join us to view the lunar eclipse from the plaza outside the Fleet Science Center.

Families and their future geniuses are invited to attend the  High Tech Fair 's  Family Night on Thursday, January 17. This free event brings together representatives from local STEM-related companies to showcase technology and provide interactive experiences for students in grades 7-12. Find out how your teen can use the science they learn in the classroom as part of a career in STEM!

new year's resolution: more science

Welcome the new year by participating in science fun for the entire family!  Young Scientists returns on Thursday, January 10, for kids ages 3-5. Students in grades 1-3 can enroll in   and those in grades 4-8 can participate in  ThoughtSTEM computer coding camps. On Sunday, January 13, people ages 7 to 107 are invited to enroll in the  3D Printing and CAD Workshop to learn to design and print 3D creations. For adults,  Suds & Science brings science to local bars on Monday, January 14.
