Thank You for Helping Make the Season Brighter

Thank you to our members and community partners who have already participated in the Lincoln Park Goodfellows Toy Drive. Your generosity is helping ensure that every child has a Christmas.

Because of you, toys are staying right here in our community and reaching local families who need them most. We’re grateful for the kindness and support that make LPCCU such a special place.

Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.

Thank you for showing what community truly looks like.

Project CommUNITY: Get Rewarded for Growing Our Credit Union Family

At Lincoln Park Community Credit Union, we believe when our community grows stronger, everyone benefits—especially our members.

That’s why we created Project CommUNITY, a referral program that rewards you for sharing the credit union you already know and trust.

Here’s How It Works

  • You get $50 for every new member you refer*
  • They get $50 when they join and start banking with LPCCU*
  • Our community benefits as LPCCU continues to grow and give back

There’s no limit to how many people you can refer—or how many $50 rewards you can earn.

Who Can You Refer?

  • Family of existing members
  • Friends, neighbors & coworkers who live or work in Lincoln Park

Why It Matters

By sharing LPCCU, you’re helping others:

  • Pay less in interest
  • Save more with better rates
  • Experience banking that’s truly community-focused

Common January Fraud Scams to Watch For

The start of the year is a busy time—and a popular time for scammers. Stay alert to protect your money and personal information.

  • Tax Scams: Messages claiming to be from the IRS demanding payment or personal info. Reminder: The IRS will not call, text, or email you.
  • Fake Refund or Delivery Notices: Emails or texts saying there’s an issue with a refund or package. Tip: Don’t click links—go directly to the company’s website.
  • Account Verification Requests: Messages pretending to be from banks or apps asking for login details. LPCCU will never ask for your password or one-time codes.
  • Charity Scams: Fake charities asking for donations after the holidays. Always verify before giving.
  • Protect Yourself: Monitor your accounts, use alerts, and contact LPCCU if something feels off.

Staying alert is a smart way to start the year safely.

Pro Tip: Simplify Debt and Pay Less Interest

If Credit Sense shows you’re carrying balances on high-interest credit cards, it may be worth exploring a balance transfer. Moving multiple balances to one LPCCU credit card can help simplify payments and may lower the interest you pay—making it easier to stay on track.
