You are an incredible friend and partner, and I'm writing today to share with you some big news about Community Action Marin. We're entering a new era of impact.
Working in community for over 50 years, we are readying to launch a new brand with messages that reflect our heritage in the war on poverty and civil rights. We are honoring the tremendous partnerships that have led to self-sufficiency for many residents and are welcoming in a new visual identity to support our trusted legacy of commitment.
Believing in the value of everyone's voice, we are also taking our deep connections in community into action as we work to build a network of people who will not only participate in the next census, but will also advocate to ensure that everyone in Marin is counted.
Thank you for your support and input as we move ahead. We are glad to count you in our corner on behalf of those we serve.
Warmly,

You told us we were the county's best kept secret.
We listened. And we knew you wanted us to do better. With you at our back and the generous support of the Marin Community Foundation, we created and will soon be unveiling a bold new visual identity reflecting our shared hopes and dreams for all who live, work, play, and learn in Marin.

We have carried forward our legacy of heartfelt commitment to those living in poverty while also enlivening our 50+ year heritage with bold enthusiasm. Our name remains, and we are taking a stand together around core values of relationship, unity, inclusivity, and service to boost resources and visibility for those we serve. We want to increase our ability to connect with new audiences and strengthen passionate investments in pathways to self-sufficiency for all of us.
There is no better time than the present. The status quo will not meet the real and growing needs of our neighbors, friends, and loved ones. In the next few weeks, you'll see the new face of Community Action Marin. Join us in the excitement as we look forward to the next fifty years!
Thank you for your tremendous support.

Once every ten years, the United States conducts a census to count every person living in the United States. This is a process required by the U.S. Constitution which is a critical pillar of our democracy, and the results have little understood but far-reaching impact on peoples' lives.
Census data determines how seats seats are apportioned in the U.S. House of Representatives, how district lines are drawn at all levels of government, and how
more than $800 billion in federal funding is allocated to crucial programs

Getting a Complete Count
We aim to achieve unprecedented representation in the 2020 Census for people historically undercounted in Marin County by mobilizing our trusted partners and community. Together with Canal Alliance, we will be leading the work of strategizing, educating, and coordinating outreach aligned with Marin County's "Complete Count" initiative.
In every corner of the county, we need you to stand up and be counted. Are you among those considered hard to count? Help us reach immigrants, people of color, families with young children, individuals living with disabilities, individuals and families who are homeless, and/or those living in poverty in geographies that have been traditionally difficult to engage.
