Morehouse School of Medicine will host the Starting Strong Conference: Pregnancy, Opioid Use and Transforming Systems of Care on Thursday, September 24, 2026. This one-day convening brings together health care, treatment, justice and community systems to create stronger pathways for pregnant women, infants and families across Georgia.


We invite clinicians, researchers, treatment providers, community organizations, policymakers, students and individuals with lived experience to submit poster abstracts that highlight innovative research, clinical practice, quality improvement initiatives and community-engaged programs focused on opioid use disorder (OUD) in pregnancy and maternal health.
