The Dread of Doing a Task

Uses Up More Time & Energy Than Doing the Task Itself

< Rita Emmett >

Good Morning,

There are all kinds of reasons excuses for putting off something that needs to be done until another day. Some are legitimate as there may, indeed, be something more important that must be done now. Too often, however, most are not. Reasoning ranges from I really don't want to do it to I may not do it right to people will not like me for doing it to - - - . Ok, you can fill in the blanks for your specific reason.

We spend hours wringing our hands, making excuses, or just plain procrastinating. In most cases those hours could have been spent, productively, getting the job done. The task would have been completed with no need for dread.

What are you putting off doing? If it is important, just do it. If not, drop it and forget about it rather than spending hours fretting about it

Progress is made by doing, not by dread and putting things off until a more convenient time which, honestly, never comes.

This week, "git er done". Make this a week free from the dread of doing that unpleasant task.
