Good Morning,
The world we live in is not a static place. It is very dynamic with things always changing whether it be the weather, people around us, our leadership, our laws or numerous other things.
We can’t change the weather but we can dress for it. We can’t change the people around us but we can change how we treat them or, if necessary, where we are and the people we associate with. If we don’t like our leadership, we can choose to become involved, push for changes or, even, be that leadership. The same goes with our laws.
We can sit back and complain or we can become involved whether it be speaking out, organizing friends and neighbors to speak out or actually leading instead of just complaining.
I live in a condominium association and am constantly hearing the words “I am retired. I don’t want to be involved. Somebody else can do it.” When everyone feels that way, others will make things happen and those things may not be to our liking.
Where are you standing? Do things happen to you? Do they happen in spite of you? Or are you an active part of making them happen? Yes, that is your choice.
This week, get involved and make things happen.
Jim
