Communication is more than sending an email or leaving a voice mail. All too often I hear, and maybe you have too: "Well, I sent an email." or "I left a voice mail." as if that is the end of communication.

Far from it. It needs both a sender and a receiver. It also needs feedback to assure both that the message has been received and that it is understood. How many times do you find someone telling you something and you have no idea what they are talking about.

We also have the lack of a voicemail greeting We have no idea we are leaving a voice mail for the right person. At the same time, we also get the message, voice mail full.

Whether a sender or receiver, we need to send complete messages, respond, and make sure both of us understand, We must take some kind of action, and let the other party knows the action has been taken.
