Good Morning,
Doubling down on a bad decision won't make it a good one. Neither will working and harder on the wrong solution. A good solution requires us to step back and recognize what got us in this mess in the first place. If it got us in the mess, it is not likely to get us out. It will merely dig the hole deeper and deeper.
Solutions that work require an understanding of the problem. They take a different and often opposite action. Yes, this is almost always an entirely different kind of thinking. No, doing things over and over the same way will not create a different result.
