A Good Monday Morning To You,
Some things bear repeating. If this thought sounds familiar, it was used back in May of 2017. http://conta.cc/2qdVhAt
When things seem to be going wrong, stop and take a moment to think of all the good things that have happened in your life. When we really think about it, except for the rare few, the good, by far, outnumber the bad. Maybe it is human nature but it seems to be all too easy to dwell on the bad.
Paul Meyer in his Power of Goal Setting, told us that like an airplane pilot, when things get rough, we may need to do a 180, in this case, a mental 180. We need to think about and remember the good times before turning around and pressing ahead with those good things on our mind.
It is all in our attitude and despite what may be happening to us in the present, we can choose to look through or beyond it. We can look forward to better times. We can look for the good that is happening in the world. We can do or say something that can make someone else’s day when they are seeing nothing but a half empty glass.
What glass are you seeing this morning? Maybe it is half full. Maybe it is full to overflowing. Great. Spread it around. If it is half full or even less, fill it up by focusing on, not the negative but the good things in your life. Yes, you can do it. It is all in the attitude.
This week you may need to change how you see your glass and, as the opportunity presents itself, help someone else do the same.
